Your business runs on people, ideas and clients who rely on you. Technology sits at the core, keeping everything moving. It’s the enabler that helps your team work smarter, serve clients better, and grow faster. Our job is to make sure IT supports you, instead of slowing you down. You shouldn’t have to worry about cyber threats, slow Wi-Fi, or backups that may or may not work. You just need technology that does its job in the background while you get on with growing your business.
That’s exactly what we’re here for.
John runs a business like we remember from days gone by... 1st class customer service, with care, with urgency, and with terrific computer knowledge and acumen. John, I just want to say how much I appreciate your help and advice. It is nice to work with someone that knows what they are doing and solves any system issues so quickly. I cannot praise John enough for his professional approach to his clients.

Running a small business is already a juggling act without the added stress of IT not working as it should.
Updates drag on and bring the day to a halt. Emails vanish or Wi-Fi cuts out in the middle of meetings. And when you finally need help, you’re left waiting for a call back.
We’ve heard it from business owners across Gloucestershire time and again and it’s exactly why we built Westway IT, to make sure you don’t have to put up with that.
So that you can start work on a Monday morning without IT drama, run client meetings with no dropped connections or password issues, and have peace of mind knowing your data is secure and backed up, without needing to chase anyone to check.
We know technology can feel overwhelming and frustrating. We’ve seen too many business owners waste hours wrestling with IT instead of focusing on the work they enjoy.
Our mission at Westway IT is simple: to make your technology secure, simple, and ready to support your growth, so you can get back your time, focus, and peace of mind.
Since 2018, we’ve helped more than 75 Gloucestershire businesses with clear advice, secure systems, reliable backups, and technology that grows with them.
We believe IT should feel invisible, there when you need it, and out of the way when you don’t. That’s why we work with trusted partners and proven solutions, so you can count on technology that’s reliable, safe, and built for the long term.
Every business is different, which is why we don’t do one-size-fits-all. Instead, we get to know your goals and challenges, then shape solutions around them. Clients often say it feels less like outsourcing IT and more like gaining a trusted partner.
And because business doesn’t stop at 5pm, neither do we. Our service desk is available 24/7, so if something goes wrong, you’ll always reach someone who can start looking into it and keep you in the loop until it’s sorted.

The best way for IT is Westway IT.
Very many thanks to John of Westway. He has ensured we are GDPR compliant, as safe as we can be from viruses and hackers, all our staff are able to work on everything they need across all our machines and devices. When we need help he responds absolutely immediately within minutes! He doesn't make us feel stupid or we are a nuisance. He doesn't befuddle us with jargon and gets the job done and any problems sorted. I would recommend John and Westway. He knows his craft and we are now working in a much more streamlined, efficient and definitely speedier way. But probably above all else, John and Westway give me enormous peace of mind.

Hi, I’m John Fisher, founder of Westway IT. I started this company in 2018 after my former employer closed its doors. I wanted to make sure the businesses I’d been supporting didn’t lose the IT partner they depended on. Since then, my mission has been simple: to make technology invisible, so small and micro-businesses can focus on what they do best.
In 2025, I was honoured to receive the Global Technology Industry Association (GTIA) Future Leader Award, recognising the same qualities our clients value every day: clear advice and leadership, community spirit, and putting people before technology.
I chair an executive board made up of experienced peers. Together, we set the direction of the business, making sure our services stay reliable, relevant, and focused on client success. For our clients, that means confidence you are working with a company built on stability, accountability, and forward thinking.
Beyond Westway IT, I’m active in industry communities, serving as a Leader at The Tech Tribe and sitting on the Executive Council for GTIA. I share ideas, learn from peers, and bring the best practices back to the businesses we support here in Gloucestershire.
When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me exploring Welsh castles or playing strategy games, anything that combines curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving. I’m proud of what we’re building at Westway IT and the difference we make for our clients. My goal is simple: to help business owners like you achieve more, without the distraction of IT problems.
We believe in making a positive impact beyond technology. Supporting our community and giving back is a core part of who we are.
We’re proud to foster an inclusive and welcoming environment for everyone. We proudly support the LGBTQ+ community and believe that diversity makes us stronger as both a business and as a community.
We’re also actively involved in local business and networking groups such as UNO Networking, Cheltenham Chamber of Commerce, Forest Economic Partnership, Cheltenham Business Lunch, and Chelt Networking. Being part of these communities helps us stay connected to local businesses, share expertise, and open up new opportunities for our clients.

We’re passionate about helping young people explore technology and build confidence in their digital skills.
Through our work with TCA and as STEM Ambassadors, we take part in initiatives designed to inspire the next generation to consider careers in tech, through talks in schools and supporting mock interviews to running workshops and community events.
For us, it’s about showing how technology can give people confidence, create new opportunities, and make a real difference in our local community.
We’re proud to work with and support several charities as clients and we’re committed to making technology accessible and affordable for everyone.
Through our partnership with Pax8 and the Tech for Social Impact (TSI) programme, we help non-profits access secure, discounted cloud solutions like Microsoft. This means our charity clients benefit from secure, modern IT at a fraction of the usual cost, helping them focus on the important work they do.
We also regularly donate good working computers and IT equipment to the ITSA Trust, supporting their mission to bridge the digital divide and give more people access to the tools they need to learn, work, and thrive.
Over the years, we’ve contributed to fundraising efforts for organisations such as Gloucester Quays Rotary’s charities and the Pied Piper Appeal. Whether it’s through direct support, fundraising, or donating technology, we’re committed to helping our community thrive. At Westway IT, we believe that success is best when it’s shared.

At Westway IT we run a deliberately lean internal team, augmented by a trusted network of advisors, delivery partners and specialists. It's a model that keeps us agile and personal, while giving every client access to deep, round-the-clock expertise.

Rosie Rimmer — Office Administrator Rosie keeps everything running behind the scenes, looking after the office, driving our marketing, and staying in regular touch with clients through check-ins. She's often the first friendly point of contact you'll have with us.
